Quantum Leap to the Journey Inwards - Atmanjai Wellness

I was inspired to take this journey by a friend who had been visiting Atmanjai for years. She shared her transformation with me back in 2021, but it took me until now to make it happen. Now, I can’t help but wonder—what if I hadn’t waited? What if I had experienced this rejuvenation years earlier?

Here’s a brief account of my Ultra-Detox Experience at Atmanjai Wellness Retreat.

Nestled in a tranquil corner of Phuket, far removed from the city's hustle and bustle, lies a hidden gem—Atmanjai Wellness Retreat. Located on Friendship Beach, Rawai, this serene sanctuary immediately embraced me with its lush surroundings and peaceful ambience. As I stepped into this oasis, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm, and the weight of the world began to lift off my shoulders.

From the moment I arrived, the staff at Atmanjai made me feel right at home. My first day began with a warm introduction by Izzy, who took the time to explain the program and provided me with a day-to-day guide to follow. With everything laid out, we dived straight into the essentials. The first lesson? Preparing Psyllium shakes and apple cider vinegar tea—both integral parts of my detox journey.

Thailand, for me, had always been synonymous with indulgent feasts of flavorful Thai cuisine. But this time, my trip took a different turn. Instead of sampling street food, I found myself making Psyllium shakes to be consumed five times a day for seven days, supplemented with dietary aids. This was a culinary adventure of a different kind, one that challenged my preconceptions about food and health.

Each day at Atmanjai began with a rejuvenating activity. Some mornings, I found myself stretching into the peaceful poses of yoga, while on others, I dipped into the pool for gentle aqua yoga sessions. These early exercises set a calming tone for the day, grounding me both physically and mentally. Late mornings were dedicated to healing workshops or one-on-one consultations with a detox consultant. The supportive environment at Atmanjai made these sessions feel more like self-discovery than routine health checks. But the true highlight of my stay was the variety of massages offered daily. From Thai massage to aromatherapy, reflexology, traditional Thai techniques, cupping therapy, and Gua Sha, each massage was a new experience, with cupping therapy and Gua Sha being firsts for me.

An essential part of the detox program was the Colema sessions, scheduled twice daily. These sessions, combined with the disciplined diet and supplements, had me feeling like a completely new person by day five. I was not alone in this journey—there were others from around the world, some seasoned regulars and some, like me, first-timers. The camaraderie that developed among us added a communal element to the experience, enriching it further.

This retreat was more than just a detox; it was a journey into myself. I learned to listen to my body, to make better choices about what I put into it, and to appreciate the power of healthy eating. The raw food cooking class was a delightful surprise, where we got hands-on experience creating delicious, healthful recipes from raw ingredients.

Booking the 7-night ultra-detox program at Atmanjai was a leap of faith—a leap that paid off in ways I hadn't imagined. I arrived feeling drained, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself. I left feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on the world. The retreat was a much-needed reset, a reminder of the importance of self-care and mindfulness.

This was more than a vacation—it was a journey back to me.
