Greetings, from around the world

My name is Tanya, I am originally from South Africa and currently one of many thousands of expats spread across the globe. I have lived in South Africa, Australia, Singapore, England and now currently based in Dubai. If you are anything like me, then you must be itching to get back out there…

I am an experienced Travel consultant with a keen sense of adventure, an eye for detail, a taste for Asia and an undying love for Africa.

For as long as I can remember, my dream has been to work in hospitality and tourism. I knew from a young age that I wanted to travel. Growing up, our family holidays were spent travelling around South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Mauritius and Thailand

When I graduated from high school, I spent a year backpacking around Australia, Vanuatu and New Zealand. I loved the freedom and independence of not knowing where the next few days, weeks or months would take me. Waking up and exploring new destinations, meeting people from all walks of life, submersing myself in the various activities and cultures that each country had to offer.

I have worked in Boutique hotels and luxury, top-end Safari Lodges in and around the Kruger National Park in South Africa. I spent 8 years working for an inbound Tour Operator specializing in luxury travel to Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean before my family and I left South Africa.

Since our expat journey began, we have travelled to over 35 different countries. I have spent hours researching each destination and carefully planning every step of each journey. There are still many countries on my list, and I am so excited to start considering moving around again and planning our next experiences.

The world is a very different place from what it was pre-covid. Members of the travel and tourism industry, worldwide, are doing everything they can to prepare for your safety and enjoyment. I understand and appreciate the importance of time, money and family and how these, amongst many other considerations, need to be incorporated into your journey. The extra precautions, questions and requirements you may have will be part of the “new normal” as we delve back into exploring future travel experiences. I am here and ready to help you, every step of the way.

Many thanks, Tanya, for helping to plan a memorable first trip to Thailand for my husband and me. In light of the anticipated New Year's crowds, you went above and beyond to give us several itineraries to choose from. Ultimately, we chose to stay in Bangkok for five nights, which was a perfect mix of culture, activity and downtime. We enjoyed three private tours, each of which exceeded our expectations in terms of offerings and service level. The hotel you suggested was perfect and allowed us plenty of well-needed rest and relaxation. The seamless communication between the tour company and the hotel was also a nice surprise - we were notified by the hotel prior to each tour reminding us of pick-up times etc. All of it made for a memorable trip, allowing us to return to Dubai feeling rested and energized for the new year ahead! Tanya organised our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar. We can’t thank her enough! She had a consultative approach upfront as we weren’t sure where we wanted to go and helped us narrow it down to safari with some beach time at the end. She listened to what we were looking for and adapted the itinerary accordingly. She was always available for last minute questions and helped us work out what was going on when one of our internal flights was cancelled. It was so helpful to have someone who could liaise with the local companies. We were very impressed and would definitely use Tanya’s expertise in the future. Thank you!

Tanya went above and beyond to find the perfect holiday for our family after years of no holiday due to COVID. Our family reached out to Tanya with almost no notice to plan a week long getaway to Europe. We had heard that borders were reopening and wanted to explore options. Without any delay, Tanya figured out where we could travel to, based on local reopening dates, and coordinated a full package for our holiday. She took care of all the little details - adding beds for additional children in our rooms and calling the local suppliers to confirm different options. She didn`t stop providing options and advice as we worked to find just the right accommodation, flights, etc. In the end - her recommendations were spectacular. The trip far exceeded our expectations and we were so perfectly thrilled with everything. We will definitely want to work with her for future family vacations!

Working with Tanya has been a complete joy from start to finish. She came up with many ideas, perfectly matching my brief. She was always available to answer any questions that I had, always getting back to me very quickly. She is extremely knowledgeable on the venues she selected and the rules around regional Covid regulations. I really like that she messaged me the day before my trip to make sure I had everything prepared and ready and sent links for booking activities and restaurants ahead of time. I have worked with travel counsellors in the past, but I've never had such a positive experience as the one I've had with Tanya and will most certainly work with her again.

Tanya recently helped us organise an amazing road trip around Greece. We stayed in 5 locations over 7 days, which was a lot of work to research the best accommodation options in each destination for a family of 5, but she was unflappable no matter how many times I went back to her with a change of itinerary or hotel. She went so far as to contact hotels directly to get permission for our 3 children to stay in one room with us when the limitation was normally 2; she was also checking up on the parking situation for us in each place, as well as organising the hire car. Towards the end when we stayed in Athens, again she liaised with the hotel to find the closest COVID testing centre, and once she had that detail she contacted them and made the booking for our PCR test for us. Administrative work like that honestly saved me hours at the computer! Easy travelling during COVID times might seem like an optimistic gamble, but Tanya's advice on insurance to cover all eventualities, plus the reassurance of knowing she was there to assist should anything happen, helped to make it the great and safe experience that it was. We so enjoyed our family trip thanks to her wonderful manner and hard work.

We had the most amazing trip to Georgia organised perfectly from start to finish by Tanya. We only contacted her 5 days before we wanted to visit. We stayed at three different hotels and all transfers and details were perfect. We felt looked after throughout our trip. Thank you, Tanya!
