A 10-Night Ugandan Adventure

Dive into several national parks packed with magnificent wildlife, from tree-climbing lions to rare birds and butterflies.

Entebbe | Murchison Falls (3 nights) | Kabile Forest National Park | Queen Elizabeth National Park (2 nights) | Bwindi Forest National Park (3 nights)

This is a trip full of breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime natural sights but also presents a wonderful opportunity to chat to locals and find out all about their lives as you enjoy roadside picnics with your driver and guide en route.

This itinerary has been carefully put together with sustainability and authentic African experiences front of mind. Trekking to see gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, visiting chimps in their natural habitat, and observing lions climbing fig trees in Queen Elizabeth National Park are all experiences you’ll never forget, but these are just the tip of the iceberg.

Other favourites of mine are a delta boat cruise to see shoebills at Murchison Falls, and waterfall hiking and a Batwa cultural experience in Bwindi. I also thoroughly recommend adding on an extra two days to go whitewater rafting, horse riding, and quad biking in Jinja at the source of the Nile, known as the adventure capital of Uganda.

Accommodation is just as thrilling, with overnighters in such magnificent spots as a treetops lodge in the rainforest of the Kibale National Park, surrounded by monkeys, birds, and butterflies galore, a cosy lounge with a fireplace, and views of the snow-capped Rwenzori mountains.

Sound good? Let's get planning!
