Ritz-Carlton Grand Canal, Abu Dhabi: Cultural Luxury with a View For a luxurious escape with a cultural twist, the Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi is a top pick. Inspired by Venetian architecture, this resort offers breathtaking views of the Grand Mosque. Despite staying over Eid Al Fitr when the hotel was at full capacity, it never felt crowded—a testament to its thoughtful design and spacious layout. One of the highlights of our stay was the full-board dine-around option, allowing us to enjoy different cuisine each night. From exquisite steak at The Forge to Asian delicacies with Grand Mosque views at Li Jiang, every meal was delicious. After dinner, we enjoyed a nightcap at Sorso bar, where a talented blues band played. The resort also offers free cabana use by the pool, with an adults-only pool available for a quieter retreat. Padel courts and a full-size football pitch add to the array of activities, but the highlight for me was the impeccable service and stunning views of the Grand Mosque.
