A Christmas in Lapland is a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you with cherished memories.

Day 1 - PURE CHRISTMAS JOY – Santa Claus, arctic animals and snow fun

This is a day to remember for the whole family! The bus ride will take us to a wilderness resort where the Christmassy activities wait for us; try your mushing skills in the husky ride, relax and listen to the silence in a reindeer sleigh, have fun with toboggans and not forget the children’s favourite: mini snowmobiling! Santa himself will meet all families privately in his small cabin – have you been naughty or nice this year? Tasty lunch is served in traditional log manor. After a splendid day, we return home with a bag full of memories!

Day 2 - ANIMALS OF THE ARCTIC CIRCLE – Huskies, reindeer and lunch

Meet the arctic animals of the wilderness resort next to the beautiful shoreline of Raudanjoki river! Let the friendly barks welcome you to the husky kennel where we learn how to mush our own husky team - and off we go! After the husky ride, we take a calmer ride in a reindeer sleigh, a perfect moment to enjoy the silence of nature. Before ending the day with great memories, we enjoy delicious lunch in an authentic log manor restaurant in the resort.

Day 3 - WILD RUN - 5 km husky safari

Experience the joy of mushing your own husky team through wintery landscapes! The husky musher shows us how to steer our own sleigh and we start the safari! Enjoy the surrounding nature while the huskies take you on an adventure to remember. After the husky ride we return to the kennel to hear facts and stories of huskies and enjoy hot drinks by the campfire.

Day 4 - ARCTIC REINDEER RIDE – 3 km reindeer safari

Traditional reindeer riding through snow-covered forests is an unforgettable experience! Sit comfortably in a sleigh and lay back, take photos of the surrounding nature and listen to the sounds of the reindeer caravan. After the ride, we enjoy hot drinks in a typical Finnish ‘kota’ tepee and hear about the reindeer herding in Lapland.

Day 5 - HUSKY SAFARI UNDER NIGHT SKY

This is a night to remember! Our guide meets you in the reception and takes you to see the friendly huskies at the kennel. It’s time to put the headlights on and hop on mushing the team of huskies. The husky ride takes you through snow-covered nature under the beautiful starry sky. If we are lucky, we may get to see a glimpse of the northern lights.

Day 6 - EVENING REINDEER SLEIGH RIDE

Join us for an experience of a lifetime! We travel in a reindeer caravan through beautiful, silent nature at night, and who knows if we get to see the marvellous northern lights above us. After the sleigh ride, we hear stories of reindeer and enjoy hot drinks in Finnish ‘kota’ before it’s time to say goodbye

Day 7 - LAPPISH KOTA DINNER

Looking for a local dining experience to remember? Our 3-course kota dinner is prepared and served in a traditional wooden ‘kota’ tepee, located on an island next to Vaattunki resort. On the way, we cross a bridge going over the rafts of river Raudanjoki and walk through a snow-covered forest to a cosy kota lit by candles.
