8 Day Mara On Horseback

Guided by a professional riding & safari guide, discover the Masai Mara on horseback; galloping amongst the wildebeest and zebra herds, returning to existing as a human in harmony with the environment. Riding between 4-7 hours a day, explore the private conservancies of the Masai Mara, experiencing the abundance of wildlife up close on the back of well-trained, evenly-tempered safari horses.

Spend evenings around the campfire in an exclusive private mobile camp set up in picturesque locations in the Masai Mara.

Day 1 - Hemingways Nairobi

Hemingways Nairobi is an opulent luxury hotel with the ambience of a
country club.

This boutique hotel, in the leafy suburb of Karen with lovely views over the scenic Ngong Hills, has all of the facilities expected in a modern 5-star hotel. Each of the large suites has a private balcony with magical views of the plantation-style property.

The Executive Chef offers a range of refined food using the freshest free-range ingredients sourced directly from Kenyan farms. The Brasserie
offers a wide range of international dishes with modern European and
South Asian flavours. Housed in its own wing overlooking the pool, the
spa offers a range of bespoke face and body treatments. Next door, the
fitness room offers a wide selection of gym equipment, managed by a
gym instructor.

Day 2 to 7 - Mobile Tented Camp

Positioned in the most beautiful areas, usually under a canopy of trees
or overlooking a stream, a private mobile tented camp is home to the
duration of the horse riding safari.

In traditional safari camping style, each tent is furnished with a comfortable bed complete with Egyptian cotton sheets and warm feather duvet, bedside tables and verandah furniture. A safari bucket shower and toilet are housed in a separate safari bathroom behind each tent.

Delicious meals are prepared over the open forest by the camp chefs and served by a team of waiters in the mess tent, whether it be candlelit dinners, ‘full-monty breakfasts’ or alfresco lunches.

Where to stay in the Algarve, from villas to boutique retreats

Choosing where to stay can completely change the feel of an Algarve holiday. Beyond the region’s larger resorts, there are whitewashed villas overlooking the Atlantic, converted village houses in the countryside, intimate design hotels, and peaceful coastal retreats. From the fishing village of Salema to the quieter landscapes around Vila do Bispo and Lagos, these four stays each offer their own take on southern Portugal, whether you want the freedom of a villa, easy access to the beach, or somewhere small and characterful to come back to after a day exploring.

Trade the beach for the streets of Valletta this autumn

19 August 2026

As summer draws to a close, city breaks come back into focus, and few destinations pack as much into a long weekend as Valletta. Malta's compact capital combines centuries of history with a thriving food scene, waterfront views, and a walkable centre that makes it easy to fit plenty into just a few days. With warm autumn temperatures, open-air cafés still spilling onto the streets, and a calendar of events continuing well beyond peak season, it's an easy choice for anyone looking for somewhere that feels both relaxed and full of character.
