Where to eat

The selection of high-quality and diverse dining options available in Abu Dhabi is enough to please any visitor, with restaurants serving everything from traditional Arabian dishes to Michelin-star Mediterranean cuisine.

Visitors can experience a taste of traditional Abu Dhabi across the city’s contemporary restaurants, desert camps and street-side vendors which serve up delicious Bedouin style cuisine. This style of food is often infused with aromatic spices from across the region such as cinnamon, saffron and turmeric and is made using age-old techniques and fresh local produce such as fish straight from the Arabian Gulf and vegetables from the local souk.

Some of our favourite Emirati dishes for you to try are Al Haree, a dish of wheat and meat slow cooked in a clay pot, and Al Madrooba, a mix of salted fish with a thick spicy sauce and rice.
